YouTube rapper and Twitch streamer Jay Cinco has announced that he and his fiancée, social media influencer Lala Baptiste, are separating. This follows his proposal to her at a baby shower about six months ago.
In his Instagram Story, Cinco said that although they are no longer together, they will continue to be there for their daughter.
“Just wanted to share for our supporters since so much of our relationship has been public,” Cinco wrote. “Nyelah and I have mutually decided to go our separate ways for now and focus on ourselves.”
He referred to his fiancée by her first name and assured that the separation was friendly and amicable.
“There’s no bad blood, no big story behind it, and we have nothing but love and respect for each other,” he added. “Most importantly, we’ll always be a family and continue showing up together for our daughter, so you’ll still see us all together from time to time.”
They got engaged in March 2026 when Cinco proposed to Baptiste during their livestreamed baby shower on YouTube, Ebony reports. He got on one knee and offered her a ring.
According to Ebony, the two started dating in early 2025 and became public with their romance in October 2025. They announced that they were expecting their first baby in a December 27, 2025 Instagram post. In another post on March 7, the couple revealed that they are having a girl.
The rapper and streamer, who gained his fame through YouTube, later joined Netflix’s “Inside: USA,” the U.S. adaptation of the reality competition show made by the British YouTube collective the Sidemen. The show aired in September 2025.
Lala Baptiste, who hails from Atlanta, is a model and lifestyle influencer with over a million followers on Instagram. She has previously dated rapper Lil Tjay.
Cinco ended his message by asking fans for understanding and respect for their privacy.
“We’re at peace with this decision and just ask that our privacy is respected as we navigate this new chapter,” he wrote.
