Fitness Influencer’s Wife Takes Over His Instagram to Accuse Him of Cheating, Then Apologizes

George Armstrong, a fitness influencer who is known for preaching against cheating, found himself accused of the very thing on Friday when his account was accused of doing just that.

The posts came from his wife, Bailey Scarlett, who accessed his account and released a series of slides that appeared to be Armstrong confessing to cheating on her with Indonesian prostitutes and Dubai escorts. The posts were taken down quickly after they were published, and Scarlett later apologized, explaining that the behavior described in the slides did not take place during their relationship.

Each slide was written from Armstrong’s point of view and addressed his followers, who are used to seeing him share fitness tips. The first slide was rather harsh.

Published on his Instagram, it said: “I like to cheat on the mother of my child and wife @bailey.scarlett with Indonesian Prostitutes. And I definitely don’t practice what I preach on Instagram, I also w**k to p**n and frequently get escorts in Dubai. But I will act like it’s the most weakest thing in the world on Instagram to other men and shame them for it! I have no respect for the mother of my child or my wife. I am no outstanding father anyone should look up to. I am nothing more than a cheat who has portrayed this image for Instagram but sadly that’s all it is. An image:)”

The slide was a direct hit on Armstrong’s carefully constructed image.

The following slides continued the theme of hypocrisy. One slide criticized the way he treats his “hot wife and mother of my child.”

The other one provided a comparison.

“What I cheated on for a dirty Indonesian prostitute, also mother of my child,” read the second slide.

Then the posts brought in their daughter.

The third slide featured the child crying because Armstrong allegedly refused to answer his phone while he was organizing a meeting with a prostitute in Uluwatu, a coastal region of Bali. The caption read: “My daughter who was crying because I wouldn’t answer my phone. Meanwhile I am in Uluwatu organising an Indonesian prostitute.”

For a brief moment, the tone changed. Instead of more shocking details, the fourth slide offered a sweeping judgment, the same kind Armstrong is said to offer others.

The message said: “The weakest form of a man is one that cheats on the woman who gave him absolutely everything and birthed and carried his child. Lowest form of betrayal.”

The final slide switched back to Armstrong’s voice and resumed the taunts.

It featured an escort advertisement and this note: “And for any low value men like myself who want to put the mother of the child at risk of STDs and get a prostitute in Bali, this is the one I used. Costs 3million IDR cash.” The smiley face emoji ended the slide.

The slides were up for only a few hours, but that was enough to shock his followers. It also raised concerns about a domestic quarrel that involved a child.

Later, Scarlett posted again and offered an apology.

“I want to apologise for the statements I posted humiliating George,” she said in an Instagram statement.

Then she opened up about her struggle with her mental health, which has largely been undisclosed.

“I have been going through emense struggles with my mental health lately, I’ve been dealing with severe PMDD and Post Partum Depression, I also was kidnapped by gunpoint and still suffer with PTSD, this has been an ongoing battle I have been dealing with behind closed doors for a long time,” Scarlett said. PMDD, or premenstrual dysphoric disorder, is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome.

She attributed her behavior to her struggles with her mental health.

“Last night I posted a statement irationally without thinking, this came from a place of hurt and not being able to think logically of the consequences, and being in a highly emotional state,” she wrote. “The post came from a deep place of hurt and a feeling of betrayal.”

Then she walked back the main accusation.

Scarlett said that the claims were unfair and that the behavior she described sleeping with a prostitute did not happen during their relationship. “However the actions I was referring to were unfair and did not occur during the time of our relationship, and the act of sleeping with a prostitute did not occur during our relationship, the statements I made online should have been dealt with in private and not aired on social media,” she added. “It was immature and I take full responsibility for my actions.”

She ended with another apology to Armstrong, adding that she is seeking help.

“I regret my actions and I am deeply sorry for the hurt I caused by posting, betraying, and humiliating George,” she wrote. “Unfortunately my mental state has been incredibly fragile and it is something I am working along side professionals to get the help that I need.”
