Academy Award winner Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty, Detroit) will direct a feature film adaptation of Aurora based on David Koepp’s upcoming novel. Koepp will write the adaptation.
The story follows characters who are coping with the collapse of the social order, set against a catastrophic worldwide power crisis.
Koepp most recently wrote the thriller Kimi, directed by Stephen Soderbergh and starring Zoë Kravitz.
Kathryn Bigelow, Greg Shapiro, Gavin Polone and David Koepp serve as producers. Aurora will be published June 7th by HarperCollins.
