Adria Arjona is letting fans in on the preparation she’s undergoing for her new role in the DC Universe, posting training videos on Instagram that have fans going wild and speculating about who she may be playing in the film.

The posts feature Arjona, whose role in Man of Tomorrow has yet to be confirmed, lifting some heavy weights while with her personal trainer, Paolo Mascitti, and set to the tune of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.”

Arjona later took a mirror selfie with Mascitti, which the trainer posted to his own account, but not without a multitude of questions.

DC fans took to the comments on both Arjona’s and Mascitti’s posts to debate what role the actress could be taking. “Calling it now, it’s Maxima. No way they will introduce Wonder Woman in a Superman movie,” one person wrote, while another said, “No way she isn’t Diana. That physique just screams Wonder Woman. Now just do the merger, and we might have the perfect DC trinity on our hands.”

The questions surrounding Arjona’s role have also garnered some negative attention: “If Gunn actually just stuck to yet another fan cast for the casting of another major superhero, I am OUT on this universe,” another user tweeted. “I didn’t sign up for this fan-pleasing slop.”

Some fans also see similarities between the reportedly teased plot for Man of Tomorrow and the “Panic in the Sky” comic storyline from 1992, in which Brainiac attacks Earth, forcing various superheroes into a massive team-up. However, nothing has yet been confirmed regarding any connection to this comic storyline.

The film centers on Superman and Lex Luthor being forced to work together when the artificial-intelligence supervillain Brainiac attacks, proving too powerful for either of them to face alone. David Corenswet stars as Clark Kent/Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, with the rest of the cast including Rachel Brosnahan, Isabela Merced, Milly Alcock, Frank Grillo, Sara Sampaio, Skyler Gisondo, Mara Gabriela de Fara, Lars Eidinger, and Aaron Pierre.

James Gunn is both writing and directing the film, which is part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters initiative. The film is currently in production across Trilith Studios in Atlanta, as well as the UK and Cincinnati, Ohio, with filming expected to continue through mid-2026.

Man of Tomorrow is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
