Alicia Keys has recently been announced as this year’s Host for the 61st annual Grammy Awards.
While the nominations have been the talk of the town, the choice of a host hasn’t gained much attention until now. The 15-time Grammy-winning artist has a lot to celebrate since it will be her first time leading the ceremony.
The Recording Academy made an announcement on Twitter.
Though there’s no say in whether she’ll grace everyone with a special performance, the “NO ONE” singer shared her excitement in a promo video for the show.

“I just feel grateful that I’m able to bring that light and that energy [pride in one’s work],” she said. ”This is a first – it’s a first, and it’s amazing, and I think it’s perfect timing. Honestly, I’m really excited, I feel really good about it, because I feel like it’s the perfect opportunity for me to give the light back, lift people up, especially all the young women that are nominated.”
You can tune into the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10.
