Two-time Academy Award©® winner Anthony Hopkins (The Father, The Two Popes) joins the cast of Zack Snyder’s sci-fi adventure film Rebel Moon as the voice of “Jimmy” an impossibly sentient JC1435 mechanized battle robot and one-time defender of the slain King.
Hopkins joins previously announced cast Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michael Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Staz Nair, Cary Elwes, Alfonso Herrera, Stuart Martin, Fra Free, Corey Stoll, Jena Malone, Rhian Rhees, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi and Sky Yang.
The film follows a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand.
Rebel Moon is the first feature to fall under the first look partnership between The Stone Quarry Productions, a production company founded by Zack and Deborah Snyder and their producing partner Wesley Coller, and Netflix.
