The Apple TV+ service announced on Wednesday that the fourth season of its award-winning comedy series “Ted Lasso” will premiere worldwide in the summer of 2026. Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as Ted and will once again serve as an executive producer.

The new season is already in production and will feature the return of Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, as announced by Apple TV+. The new season will also feature new cast members, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

The new season will be a bit different, as Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s team. Apple TV+ said that Ted and the new team will learn to leap before they look as they take chances they never thought they would take.

The Apple TV+ service also announced on Wednesday that Emmy winner Jack Burditt will be joining the show as an executive producer under a new deal with the service. Jason Sudeikis will executive produce with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel, while Brett Goldstein will write and produce with Leanne Bowen. The new season will also feature Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh as writers and producers, Sasha Garron as co-producer, Julia Lindon as a writer, and Dylan Marron as the story editor, as announced by Apple TV+.

Bill Lawrence will executive produce, through Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content, as announced by Apple TV+.

The show was created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt and is based on the existing format and characters from NBC Sports. The show premiered in 2020 and became one of Apple TV+’s biggest shows, earning a record 20 Emmy nominations for its first season. The show won Outstanding Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards for both its first and second seasons.
