Apple TV+ unveiled the much-anticipated teaser for “Presumed Innocent,” an upcoming eight-part limited series featuring Hollywood heavyweight Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role. Executive produced by Gyllenhaal himself, alongside renowned creators David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams, the series promises a gripping narrative sure to captivate audiences.
Based on Scott Turow’s bestselling novel of the same name, “Presumed Innocent” delves into the unsettling aftermath of a shocking murder that rocks the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office. Gyllenhaal stars as Rusty Sabich, the chief deputy prosecutor who finds himself ensnared in suspicion following the crime. The series explores themes of obsession, politics, and the complexities of love as Sabich battles to salvage his family and marriage amidst mounting accusations.
Joining Gyllenhaal in this star-studded ensemble are Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, and Kingston Rumi Southwick.
