Apple TV+ has released a sneak peek of a new show called “The Changeling. ” It is an eight-episode drama series that will feature LaKeith Stanfield as the star and executive producer.
“The Changeling” is a fairy tale for adults, adapted from Victor LaValle’s well-loved and popular book with the same title. This is a scary story, a story about being a parent, and a dangerous journey through a part of New York City that you didn’t even know about.
Besides Stanfield, the series also stars Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and special guest star Malcolm Barrett will be appearing together.
Kelly Marcel, who has also worked on films such as “Cruella,” “Venom,” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” wrote and adapted “The Changeling.” The show’s first episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas.
The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Annapurna executive producers include Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu, and Ali Krug. Along with star LaKeith Stanfield, showrunner Kelly Marcel, book author Victor LaValle, David Knoller, and director Jonathan van Tulleken executive produce. Director Matsoukas serves as executive producer through her De La Revolución Films. Sue Naegle and David Wolkis also serve as executive producers, with Khaliah Neal serving as co-executive producer.
The series will premiere globally on Friday, September 8, 2023, with the first three episodes available. After that, one episode will be released each week until October 13.
