The highly anticipated third season of “The Morning Show,” starring and executive produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, was teased today on Apple TV+.
When a tech titan takes an interest in UBA in season three of “The Morning Show,” the network’s future is called into question, and loyalties are tested. Surprising alliances emerge private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both inside and outside the newsroom.
The season three ensemble cast also includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, Nicole Beharie, and Julianna Margulies, in addition to Witherspoon and Aniston.
Mimi Leder directs and executive produces the Emmy, SAG, and Critics’ Choice Award-winning drama, which has already been renewed for season four. Charlotte Stoudt serves as showrunner and executive producer.
The series is produced by Media Res and executive produced by Michael Ellenberg through Media Res, as well as Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films and Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Hello Sunshine. Leder serves as executive producer and director.
The widely acclaimed second season of “The Morning Show” received Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Reese Witherspoon; Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Billy Crudup, who also won the award for season one; and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, Marcia Gay Harden.
Crudup’s performance as Cory Ellison earned him an Emmy in the category of Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in its first season, as well as a Critics Choice Award.
Aniston received a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her powerful performance as Alex Levy. Leder received a nomination for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series for his work on the season one finale.
The series was also nominated for Outstanding New Program by the Television Critics Association and Best New Drama by the TV Choice Awards.
The first two episodes of “The Morning Show’s” 10-episode third season will premiere globally on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, followed by new episodes every Wednesday until November 8, 2023.
