HGTV’s popular home renovation competition, Rock the Block, will return on Monday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This season, breaking with tradition, four veteran teams return for a chance at redemption, competing to increase the value of waterfront homes in Treasure Island, Florida. The seven-episode season, hosted by expert carpenter and designer Ty Pennington, promises an intense renovation showdown.
The stakes are higher than ever as powerhouse duos Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas, Lyndsay Lamb, and Leslie Davis, and Page Turner and Mitch Glew compete to transform attached waterfront homes in six weeks with a $250,000 budget. Each property has a pool, a boat dock, and breathtaking views of Boca Ciega Bay, putting the competitors to the test in unexpected ways.
Loren Ruch, Head of Content at HGTV, is excited about the rematch, highlighting the unique waterfront setting that will put the contestants’ skills to the test. The premiere focuses on the kitchen and dining areas, with former champions Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson evaluating the spaces for functionality and design.
Throughout the season, HGTV stars such as Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, Kristina Crestin, Veronica Valencia, and reigning champion Michel Smith Boyd will evaluate various aspects of the renovated homes. The winning team will be determined in the finale, which will feature Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott, adding to the suspense of the ultimate rematch.
Notably, the winning team’s success goes beyond bragging rights; a donation to No Kid Hungry will provide 100,000 meals for children in need. With homes built by Blake Building in Treasure Island, Florida, Rock the Block promises a season of fierce competition, strategic decisions, and a dedication to making a positive difference.
