Barack Obama calls for reform in light of recent mass shootings

In an open letter, the former president sent his condolences to the victims’ families affected by the El Paso and Dayton shootings. Obama also weighed in on the subject of gun violence in the US, including the need for tougher gun laws, reducing the “influence of hate groups” and rejecting language that “normalizes racist sentiments.”
