Today Prime Video and Blumhouse Television announced Barbie Ferreira has joined the cast of the upcoming psychological thriller House of Spoils, alongside Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose.

The film continues a collaboration forged by the two companies in 2019 and will be directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy from their script, based on their original idea.

From Amazon Studios and Blumhouse, House of Spoils will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Production will begin this fall.

The film follows an ambitious chef (Ariana DeBose) who opens her first restaurant—a farm-to-table affair on a remote estate—where she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, crushing self-doubts… and the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner who threatens to sabotage her at every turn. House of Spoils is a tense, psychological and sensuous thriller that will leave hearts pounding and mouths watering.

On the television side, Ferreira is well-known for her role as ‘Kat’ in HBO’s hit series Euphoria. In the film, she starred opposite Haley Lu Richardson in the HBO Max road trip comedy Unpregnant. She was previously named one of TIME’s Most Influential Teens.
House of Spoils reunites Cole, Krudy, Secret Engine, and Amazon Studios following Amazon Studios’ acquisition of worldwide rights to Cole and Krudy’s Blow the Man Down, produced by Secret Engine, ahead of the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.

Producers are Jason Blum for Blumhouse; Alex Scharfman, Lucas Joaquin, and Drew Houpt for Secret Engine; and Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath for Divide/Conquer. Executive producers are Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse Television.

Ferreira is represented by Authentic Talent and Literary Management, Aperture Talent Agency, Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson McGinnis Ryan, and Highlight PR.
