Barbie Ferreira will not return for the third season of HBO’s ‘Euphoria,’ which many sensed that was coming after rumours started speculating that her and the creator Sam Levinson weren’t seeing eye to eye earlier this year.
Ferreira made the official announcement on her Instagram story earlier today. She said, “After four years of getting to embody the most special character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye. I hope many of you could see yourself in her as I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you, Katherine Hernandez.”
The ‘Euphoria’ star reportedly stormed off the set multiple times last season due to ‘strong creative differences’ with creator Sam Levinson over her storyline.
The Daily Beast reported that Ferreira walked off set due to the gruesome long workdays that could stretch from 15 to 17 hours as Sam Levinson rarely came to set with a shot list during production for ‘Euphoria’ season 2.
Ferreira character Kat had very little screen time in season 2. Kat went from being one of their most prominent characters in season 1 to pretty much being in the shadows in season 2.
