A recent video capturing an altercation between a woman and an Instacart shopper in a Portland, Maine neighborhood has ignited a firestorm of controversy across social media platforms. The footage, uploaded by a TikTok user (@visions.bree.223), depicts a tense encounter wherein the woman, identified as Brenda Sue Joyce by another TikTok user named Danesh, confronts the shopper over unknown circumstances.

In the video, the woman can be heard admonishing the Instacart shopper, stating, “This is a private neighborhood, ten miles an hour,” while exhibiting visible signs of agitation. Moments later, she is seen physically striking the shopper, though the reason for her aggression remains unclear. While it has been suggested that the shopper may have been speeding through the neighborhood, this detail has not been confirmed.

Throughout the altercation, the Instacart shopper repeatedly implores the woman to leave them alone, refusing her demands to enter her vehicle. “You’re not my mother,” the shopper asserts, pushing back against the woman’s attempts to dictate their actions.

Following the dissemination of the video, social media users swiftly condemned Brenda Sue Joyce’s behavior, expressing outrage over her actions. Many characterized her conduct as unjustified and aggressive, calling for accountability and repercussions.

The incident underscores broader conversations surrounding respect, boundaries, and civility in interactions between individuals. As the video continues to circulate online, it serves as a stark reminder of the power of social media to amplify instances of conflict and demand accountability.

Efforts to reach Brenda Sue Joyce for comment on the altercation have thus far been unsuccessful. However, as the discourse surrounding the incident intensifies, it remains to be seen what further developments may arise in this ongoing saga.

After a video of an altercation she had with an Instacart shopper went viral, a woman in Portland, Maine, began to experience backlash on social media.

Brenda is lucky the person she criminally assaulted wasn’t concealed carrying. We know several delivery drivers who do conceal carry and one had to use his tool two years ago.

Even if she was going faster than the 10mph limit Brenda sue doesn’t have a radar in her and u can’t tell someone’s speed by watching them and it does not give her the right to put her hands on anyone else She needs to be arrested and charged with assault

Absolutely!! The poor girl was doing nothing wrong except her job!
Brenda Sue doesn’t like the country, saying, “This country sucks!”
Well there is a hole bunch of countries to choose from!!
Brenda Sue is a FedEx big wig. Not after this, but they will fire her, as it should be!
Bad enough she acted like she was in charge, she actually clawed the young girl!!

I certainly hope she (BSJ) realizes that people in these service positions are part of the giant cog that inevitably makes her ivory tower comfortable.
