Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne found love with Abbey Gile, the former girlfriend of his college teammate and close friend, Zach Wilson.
Milne and Gile announced their engagement on Monday.
This news follows Wilson’s recent announcement of his engagement to model Nicolette Dellanno while vacationing in Italy.
Wilson and Gile, high school sweethearts, ended their relationship in early 2022. Soon after, Gile started dating Milne, sparking social media buzz.
Gile defended herself against accusations of being a “homie hopper,” claiming Wilson was the one who betrayed her by getting involved with his mother’s best friend.
This resulted in a wave of online jokes about Wilson, likely to outlast his NFL career according to the article. Drafted second overall in 2021 by the Jets, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos after three underwhelming seasons.
Milne, drafted in the seventh round by Washington in the same year, hasn’t recorded any catches but led the team in punt returns during the 2022 season. Overall, he has 15 receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown.
While Wilson chases success on the field, his former teammate seems to have found happiness off it.
