Someone stole $100 million worth of jewelry from a California armored vehicle last week.
The rare gems were estimated to be worth $100 million, said Brandy Swanson, a director at the International Gem and Jewelry Show in San Mateo, south of San Francisco.
The Brinks security truck loaded the stones on July 10th following a show, according to Dana Callahan, a spokeswoman for Brink’s security.
The incident occurred when the Brinks truck was heading toward Los Angeles. Swanson revealed that 25 to 30 bags were taken from that truck leaving 18 victims with significant losses from the heist.
