Camilla Araujo has never been the type to play by the rules, and her latest project certainly proves that she’s not stepping down any time soon. With a glamorous tribute to classic Hollywood, the star herself has transformed into Marilyn Monroe for a promotional video that draws its inspiration from the “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” routine from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
The behind-the-scenes videos, shared on Instagram, showed Araujo wearing a bright pink strapless gown, opera gloves, and crystal accessories, standing on stage in front of red curtains, accompanied by tuxedo-clad dancers, treating the audience to a straight-to-cinema spectacle that Araujo called “definitely not trashy or low budget.”
She Said Forget Brands, I’ll Be the Brand
Rather than waiting for corporate calls, Araujo turned the tables.
“You guys know I’m not really brand-friendly, but I’ve always wanted to shoot a commercial,” she said. “So today I decided, well, I’m just gonna shoot my own commercial, pay for it myself, and promote me on you know where I’m promoting it,” she added.
With so much invested, both financially and otherwise, in her vision, she dared to pose not only as the star of her movie, but also as its CEO.
Marilyn Monroe, But With a Spicy Twist
Right from when the camera zoomed in, Araujo was serving Monroe realness. The pink gown, the diamonds, the red curtains, and the setting were quintessentially 1953, while the execution was remarkably 2025
“The real movie comes after I sneak off set, and you know where to find it,” she teased her fans, winking, and it wasn’t long before Monroe’s vintage glamorous look got mixed up with something NSFW that only Araujo could rock.
Backup Dancers, But Make Them “Cutie Patties”
No star ever went solo. Araujo introduced her co-stars, dressed in tuxedos, lovingly announcing them to the audience as her “cutie pattie guys.” She shared the limelight playfully: “Stay tuned for the movie. It’s gonna be so sick. Are y’all ready boys?”
One of the dancers has the line that every leading lady dreams of hearing: “Let’s do it.”
Go Big, Or Go Viral
Nervous? Maybe. Extra? Always.
“Last time I filmed a movie, you guys loved it,” she admitted. “So, this time, I’m just gonna make it bigger, better, higher production, higher quality,” The outcome? The TikTok video that felt like it belonged on a Broadway stage play meets an MGM classic, only instead, it finishes with a link to her empire.
