Coi Leray will drop her third studio album, “Multi,” on February 26, according to her announcement and the release of a new single, “Spin Back,” the first teaser of the upcoming project.
It will be Leray’s first full-length project since her signing with Epic Records in 2025. According to the announcement, the album encapsulates Leray’s identity as an artist who defies genres and boundaries with her versatility as a rapper, singer, and performer. “Multi” is available for pre-order and presave.
“This album isn’t about becoming somebody new. It’s about owning everything I’ve always been and everything I’m still becoming,” Leray said in a statement. “I’m not one sound. I’m not one style. I’m not one version of myself. I’m Multi.”
The single “Spin Back,” produced by WhoisRodny, JP Beatz, and J Roc Stream, is out now on streaming platforms. It comes after her dance collaboration with Diplo, “Nothing Into Something.”
The song was created for late-night dance floors, blending melodic, passionate vibes as Leray longs for a romantic reunion and sings about staying stable on the surface while her ex-lover sees the real feelings beneath. The single launches an album that blends intimate emotions with loud music.
The album “Multi” highlights Leray’s ability to blend confidence and vulnerability across genres ranging from grunge to dance music.
The album cover features 12 portraits of Leray in different outfits, moods, and expressions. Along with the title, they show the confidence, vulnerability, and freedom described in the songs, revealing several aspects of the same artist as equally valuable.
“‘Multi’ is a celebration of everything it means to be multidimensional,” she said. “It’s about breaking out of the boxes the world tries to put us in. Being confident and vulnerable. Soft and fearless. Feminine and powerful. A mother and a superstar. A work in progress and a masterpiece at the same time.”
This multidimensionality influenced Leray’s releases this year. “Better Than Yours,” her collaboration with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, was No. 1 on Mediabase’s U.S. urban radio chart in July. “Outside,” with Eladio Carrión, was a part of New York City’s championship summer, and “Nothing Into Something” brought the positive message of empowerment to the dance floor. Ranging from rap to Latin and electronic music, the collaborations help create the album’s sound.
This news comes after a successful year for Leray in music, performing arts, and fashion. She performed at Coachella, where Essence praised her high-energy set, and headlined BET Experience Weekend. She later appeared at the CFDA Awards wearing Marc Jacobs and became a viral sensation on The Jason Lee Show, where she discussed long-standing rumors. With Multi, Leray focuses on the music again.
Leray, 29, was born in Boston and raised in New Jersey. She launched her music career in 2018, turning her life experience into a unique combination of rap, melody, and sincerity. Okayplayer called Leray an undeniable star power.
Her albums Trendsetter (2022) and Coi (2023) resulted in three gold records from the Recording Industry Association of America, along with No More Parties, which went double platinum, and Players, which went platinum. Her biggest hit so far, Players, reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance.
Leray began her Epic Records era in February 2025 with her personal EP What Happened to Forever? Since then, she has released Better Than Yours, Outside, and Nothing Into Something while experimenting with different styles and regions. Multi unites these experiments, and Spin Back is the first teaser of this big picture.
