Notable personalities such as Academy Award-winning duo Phil Lord & Chris Miller and Indian film actor Rashmika Mandanna added to the international flair of the event.

Adding to the excitement, global fans were treated to a plethora of musical performances, including the debut of the official Anime Awards Theme Song, composed and performed by the renowned duo Hiroyuki SAWANO and KOHTA YAMAMOTO. The celebration of anime’s rich history was also marked by a special rendition of “Battlecry,” the opening song of Samurai Champloo, performed by Shing02, OMA, and SPIN MASTER A-1, commemorating the show’s 20th anniversary.

Furthermore, Japanese pop duo YOASOBI delivered an exhilarating performance of their award-winning song “Idol,” setting the stage on fire ahead of their anticipated appearance at Coachella. To pay homage to beloved anime series, a live orchestra mesmerized audiences with a symphony featuring iconic songs from milestone shows.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards, a testament to the global impact of anime, saw a record-breaking 34 million votes cast by fans worldwide. Countries from Argentina to the United States eagerly participated, underscoring the universal appeal of anime as a cultural phenomenon.
