Whether you’re an anime newbie who never knew where to start, or a seasoned fan looking for an epic way to revisit one of the year’s standouts, Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- is the perfect event for you. This December, the Bucket List cinematic experience is coming to U.S. and Canadian theaters, along with an ultra-exclusive opportunity to catch up on the first season of Solo Leveling and get an early look at the first two episodes of its highly anticipated second season. The film will hit theaters starting on December 6, but if fans want to see it in IMAX, those showings start on December 4.

For those unfamiliar, Solo Leveling is a story that follows the life of Sung Jinwoo, a hunter who lives in a world where several mysterious gates have opened up, thereby connecting Earth with other dimensions filled with dangerous dungeons and deadly creatures. These gates spawn individuals possessing superhuman abilities called hunters, who go inside the dungeons to fight monsters and collect treasures. But Jinwoo is anything but special-he is considered the weakest of all hunters, a lowly E-Class hunter who can barely make a living. His life took a dramatic turn when he found a double dungeon-a very rare but dangerous situation where a high-level dungeon lay inside a low-level one. Dying, Jinwoo was granted a mysterious power that allowed him to level up an extremely rare ability that no other hunter in the world had. From then on, he went from being the weakest of all to one of the strongest hunters by discovering new abilities, going up against stronger foes, and even learning about the truth of his very new powers.

The movie Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- allows both new audiences and long-time fans alike to dive into the world of Jinwoo. At the opening of the movie, it did a great rundown of season one, bringing any new viewers up to speed and ready for the action of season two. It allows existing fans to look back at what happened and experience again the amazing action on the big screen. After the recap, the film lets viewers in on an exclusive sneak peek into the first two episodes of the second season, showing what is coming next with Jin-woo as his adventure heightens. One of the prime attractions has been the breathtaking animations done by A-1 Pictures along with motion graphics from Production I.G, and to be able to watch these colorful battles and thrilling fight scenes on the big screen would have been worth it.

The film is by director Shunsuke Nakashige and the music has been done by the great Hiroyuki Sawano, whose powerful scores have elevated many anime titles, including Attack on Titan. Such is the experience added by this collaboration of K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, whose music fits the high-energy atmosphere of the film. Character designs are by Tomoko Sudo and monster designs are by Hirotaka Tokuda, and the animation quality is outstanding, bringing both human characters and terrifying creatures to vivid life in the most minute details.

Whether you are new or a long-time fan of Solo Leveling, this is a theatrical experience one will never forget. That would be a great way to plunge into the world of Solo Leveling, catch up on season one, and give them a tease of what is to come. The film will run for 120 minutes and be made available in Japanese with English subtitles, as well as an English dub, to fit all fan needs. With that said, no anime lover would want to miss the occurrence; they should put this on their calendar and get themselves ready for Solo Leveling like never before.
