Toei Animation is proud to announce the upcoming release of Dragon Ball DAIMA, a new series celebrating the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga. This exciting venture will introduce fans to a fresh and captivating storyline, featuring beloved characters and thrilling adventures.

Crunchyroll is excited to announce the upcoming premiere of Dragon Ball DAIMA on October 11th. This thrilling series introduces a unique twist to the beloved franchise, as Goku and his friends find themselves mysteriously transformed into children.

Joined by Supreme Kai and the new characters Glorio and Panzy, our heroes embark on a perilous journey through the Demon Realm. Filled with action, humor, and unexpected challenges, Dragon Ball DAIMA promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.

This new installment is being helmed by Yoshitaka Yashima (known for his stunning work on Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge) and Aya Komaki (series director of One Piece), with Yuko Kakihara taking charge of series composition. The animation character designs come from the talented Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, who has been with the Dragon Ball series since its early days. With such a stellar team behind it, fans are in for an absolute treat!

And it gets even better! Dragon Ball DAIMA features an electrifying opening theme, “Jaka Jaan,” composed by none other than Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd, with vocals from the dynamic singer-songwriter duo C&K. The combination of Zedd’s music with lyrics by Yukinojo Mori, the legendary lyricist behind CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA and Limit Break x Survivor, guarantees an opening theme that will leave fans buzzing with excitement. But the musical magic doesn’t stop there—Zedd also produced the ending song, “’NAKAMA’ by ZEDD feat. AI,” featuring vocals from the talented artist AI, adding an emotional touch to this thrilling new series.

Dragon Ball DAIMA was first revealed at the Dragon Ball Special Panel at New York Comic Con 2023, and the announcement was met with thunderous applause from the crowd. Fans around the world have eagerly awaited this new adventure, which not only brings fresh characters and stories but also pays tribute to the incredible legacy of the Dragon Ball franchise.

Forty years after Akira Toriyama’s original manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump, the Dragon Ball phenomenon is still going strong. With over 260 million copies sold worldwide and counting, the franchise has become a global sensation, spanning six episodic series, 21 feature films, video games, trading cards, and an endless array of merchandise. The arrival of Dragon Ball DAIMA further cements the series’ place in pop culture, bridging generations of fans and promising to bring even more unforgettable memories.

Dragon Ball DAIMA, a highly anticipated addition to the iconic Dragon Ball franchise, is set to premiere on October 11th. Join Goku and his friends on a thrilling new adventure that promises to be a memorable experience for fans both old and new.
