Daniel Kaluuya is teaming up with Mattel for a live-action Barney movie

The actor is joining forces with Mattel Films to produce a live-action movie based on the “ubiquitous figure in many of our childhoods.”

I’ve been wondering when they’d reboot Barney. Did not see the Daniel Kaluuya aspect coming, but it makes sense a Millennial is involved. Waiting for the next big coup- the Millennial who gets Mary-Kate and Ashley to make another video.

I’m unironically interested in the misunderstood Barney movie and hope it’s all about Barney being depressed because the kids whose imaginations bring him to life are also sad
