Did Drake Have XXX Tentacion Killed?

Drake got ordered to sit for deposition in XXX Tentacion’s murder trial on February 24th.

Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome got charged with first-degree murder for killing XXX Tentacion. The young Florida artist got ambushed at a motorcycle dealership in June 2018. When XXX Tentacion refused to give them his chain, they shot him multiple times in the torso.

So why is Drake being brought up in this court case?

Dedrick Williams’ defense attorney Mauricio Padilla inserted Drake’s name in court earlier this week about his alleged beef with XXX Tentacion.

Drake and XXX Tentacion allegedly didn’t see eye to eye after the Florida rapper accused the OVO Sound founder of stealing his cadence on “Look At Me!” when the Toronto artist dropped his song titled “KMT.”

Before XXX died, he posted something alarming on his Instagram story. He says, “IF ANYONE TRIES TO KILL ME IT WAS @champagnepapi (Drake’s Instagram Username) IM SNITCHING RN.” XXX Tentacion claimed he got hacked when the post went up on his Instagram story. Sadly, this was the beginning of the wild conspiracy theory that ties Drake to the death of XXX Tentacion.

Did Drake’s lyrics get himself in trouble?

Fans also broke down some of Drake’s lyrics that could be directed at XXX Tentacion. In Drake’s “I’m Upset” song, he says, “SMS, triple X, that’s the only time I ever shoot below the neck. Why you keep on shootin’ if you know that n*gga dead? (Skrr) That’s the only kind of shit that gets you some respect.” These lyrics may be the reason; Drake got ordered to sit in a deposition later this month.

Some Drake conspiracy theorists believe he hinted about allegedly killing XXX Tentacion because (SMS) could stand for send my shooter, and XXX is another name for XXX Tentacion. The people who killed XXX did shoot him below the neck. Drake also ad-libs “skrr” in the “I’m Upset” record, which can be used as a sound of a car taking off in most songs. XXX Tentacion’s killers fled the scene in a vehicle.

The problem with this theory is that Drake released “I’m Upset” a month before XXX Tentacion got killed.

Drake conspiracy theorist was just getting started because the Toronto artist gave them more material to work with after releasing his Scorpion album. On his record “Mob Ties” he talks about being too late for amendment as the point of no return was crossed. Many believe this could be a jab at XXX Tentacion because he was hitting on Drake’s mother publicly. In the record, Drake says, “Louis bags in exchange for body bags, yeah.” Ironically, a few witnesses at the crime scene claim the shooters took XXX Tentacion Louis Vuitton’s bag out of his vehicle.

Drake’s poor choice of words may have gotten him ordered to sit in a deposition but it doesn’t make him responsible for XXX Tentacion’s death.
