Walt Disney Animation Studios is ready to set sail once again with the much-anticipated “Moana 2,” and fans are excited after releasing a new TV spot! The sneak peek offers a glimpse into Moana’s thrilling next adventure, including the debut of a brand-new song, “We’re Back,” which promises to be as epic and uplifting as its predecessor. The animated musical is slated to hit theaters just before the holidays on November 27, 2024.

The sequel reunites Moana, voiced once again by the talented Auli‘i Cravalho, and the larger-than-life demigod Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson, as they embark on an expansive and dangerous new voyage. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must venture into uncharted waters in Oceania, braving long-lost seas with a crew of colorful and unexpected seafarers.

Fans can also feast their eyes on a brand-new poster for “Moana 2,” showcasing the stunning oceanic world and teasing the action-packed journey ahead.

In addition to Cravalho and Johnson, the voice cast sees the return of some familiar favorites. Rachel House reprises her role as the ever-wise Gramma Tala, Temuera Morrison returns as Chief Tui and Nicole Scherzinger voices Moana’s loving mother, Sina. Joining the cast are newcomers Hualālai Chung as Moni, David Fane as Kele, and Rose Matafeo as Loto, who round out Moana’s brave new crew. The film also introduces Awhimai Fraser as the mysterious Matangi, Gerald Ramsey as Moana’s ancestor Tautai Vasa, and the adorable Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Moana’s younger sister, Simea.

Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, “Moana 2” boasts an all-star musical lineup. The film features songs from Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, alongside Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa‘i, who returns from the first film, and the legendary three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.

Jared Bush and Miller pen the film’s screenplay, and with Jennifer Lee, Bush, and Johnson serving as executive producers, fans can expect the magic and heart of the original “Moana” to be captured once again—only this time, on an even grander scale.

Set your sails for an unforgettable adventure this November—Moana 2 is ready to make waves once more!
