The highly anticipated second season of Disney Branded Television’s Emmy® Award-nominated series “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” promises an action-packed adventure as 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her colossal companion, Devil Dinosaur, prepare to protect the Lower East Side.
The series, which will debut on Disney Channel and Disney XD on Friday, February 2nd, at 8:00 p.m. EST, delves deeper into Moon Girl’s superhero persona, exploring the delicate balance between her crime-fighting duties and the secrecy that surrounds her identity. As the stakes rise, Moon Girl must make a difficult choice between the cost of her covert activities and the impact on her family.
Drawing inspiration from Marvel’s hit comic books, the show has captivated audiences with the dynamic duo’s escapades, blending science, humor, and heart. The first batch of season two episodes becomes available on Saturday, Feb. 3, on Disney+, following the broadcast premiere.
Diamond White reprises her role as Lunella Lafayette, aka Moon Girl, alongside Fred Tatasciore as the lovable Devil Dinosaur. The stellar cast also features Libe Barer as Casey, Alfre Woodard as Mimi, Sasheer Zamata as Adria, Jermaine Fowler as James Jr., Gary Anthony Williams as Pops, and executive producer Laurence Fishburne as The Beyonder.
Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series is spearheaded by executive producers Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland’s Cinema Gypsy Productions, as well as Steve Loter. The creative team includes co-executive producers Rodney Clouden and Pilar Flynn, co-executive producer and story editor Kate Kondell, co-producer and story editor Halima Lucas, co-producer and supervising director Ben Juwono, and producer Rafael Chaidez.
