Lifetime has announced a new gripping thriller, “Buried Alive and Survived,” starring Eva Marcille and Tyler Lepley. Inspired by real-life events, the movie will premiere on Saturday, September 21 at 8 pm ET/PT.
Marcille, known for her roles in “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “All the Queen’s Men,” will portray Alicia, a woman who finds herself trapped underground after being buried alive by her ex-husband, Victor, played by Lepley, star of “P-Valley” and “Harlem.”
“Buried Alive and Survived” follows Alicia as she fights for her survival and the safety of her son, Malcolm. After Victor is released from prison, he becomes obsessed with reuniting their family, but Alicia refuses his demands. In a shocking twist, Victor takes drastic measures to force her compliance, burying her alive.
Despite the terrifying ordeal, Alicia manages to escape her grave and embark on a desperate search for her son, knowing that her safety and his depend on staying one step ahead of Victor’s relentless pursuit.
The movie is produced by Swirl Films, with Abbey Sibucao, Ron Robinson, and Eric Tomosunas serving as executive producers. Manu Boyer, known for directing “Girl in the Basement,” helms the film, while Gregory Small and Richard Blaney penned the teleplay based on a story by Nigel Campbell.
“Buried Alive and Survived” is set to be a thrilling addition to Lifetime’s fall slate of Ripped from the Headlines movies.
