In the age zoom and IG Live, we have found a new show we can definitely get behind.

“Talks With Mama Tina” led by the amazing Mrs. Tina Knowles Lawson is the refreshing and necessary show we all need right now. The show focuses on the important topics affecting the African American community.

I recently spoke to the super executive producers making all the magic behind the scenes of “Talks With Mama Tina” Trell Thomas and Jasper Hagan to discuss the shows importance, working with Ms. Tina, what’s next and why this show is needed right now.

“Talks With Mama Tina” comes at time, when we need a safe space in which we can be educated and laugh. Ms. Tina infuses her humor with activism, from discussions on Black love to voter registration and more. Trell Thomas has worked behind the scenes with Ms. Tina at the Waco Theatre for years and he hopes people get to see the side of her he has always seen. Jasper Hagan brings a years long career in media to the show, helping to secure their partnership with African Pride. This Black Boy Joy duo understands the importance of getting behind and supporting Black women. They also recognize that they don’t do this alone, Trell and Jasper speaks to the collaboration and teamwork of the amazing group they work with to help bring the show to life.

If you are looking for something new to watch with a purpose, I’m recommending “Talks With Mama Tina”!
