First-Look At ‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 2

Prime Video has released first-look images from The Wheel of Time season 2, which will premiere on September 1st.

The show is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), a humble farm boy in Robert Jordan’s fantasy series The Wheel of Time, discovers he is The Dragon Reborn—a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world… or break it.

An army of powerful sorceresses must reckon with his burgeoning power and encroaching madness in order to protect him from the Dark One. The Last Battle approaches as the Wheel of Time turns. Despite Rand’s belief that he had defeated the Dark One, evil remains in the world. Threats both recent and ancient hunt down the young friends from Two Rivers, who are now scattered around the world, in Season 2. They must find new sources of strength because the woman who discovered and led them is now helpless. either in themselves or in each other. Whether in the light or in the dark.

Rosamund Pike portrays Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney portrays Lan Mandragoran, Zo Robins portrays Nynaeve al’Meara, Madeleine Madden portrays Egwene al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford portrays Perrin Aybara, Dónal Finn portrays Mat Cauthon, and Ceara Coveney portrays Elayne Trakand in The Wheel of Time.

Rafe Judkins, the showrunner and executive producer, adapted The Wheel of Time for television. Executive producers include iwot Productions’ Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Mike Weber, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, Justine Juel Gillmer, Sanaa Hamri, and Amanda Kate Shuman.

Rosamund Pike also serves as co-executive producer, and consulting producers include Harriet McDougal, Brandon Sanderson, and Lauren Selig. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios collaborated on the production of The Wheel of Time.

The series is a collaboration between Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios. The first season of The Wheel of Time will also be available for free on Amazon Freevee for one month beginning July 14.
