Actor Shia LaBeouf has been sued by his ex-girlfriend, musician and dancer FKA twigs, for the “emotionally and physically abusive relationship” that she was allegedly put through when they were together from 2018 to 2019.

According to a Variety report, the 34-year-old FKA twigs, filed the lawsuit against the Transformers star on Friday, December 1, at a Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit included 5 causes of action: battery, sexual battery, assault, emotional distress, and gross negligence. The lawsuit also sought monetary damages from the actor, but the specific amount was not revealed.

“Shia LaBeouf hurts women. He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous,” the lawsuit read, citing in detail the traumatic incidents of LaBeouf’s alleged physical, mental, and emotional abuse of FKA twigs, including him supposedly “knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease.”

FKA twigs tried to resolve the issue with Shia Labeouf privately “on the condition that he receive psychological treatment,” which he declined: “Since he was unwilling to get help, the suit was filed to prevent others from suffering similar abuse by him.”

Shia Labeouf responds to FKA twigs’ lawsuit against him: “I have no excuses. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history. I’m sorry to those I hurt.”
