Fox hottest series “Empire” directed by Lee Daniels will be coming to an end after its sixth season next year, according to Vanity Fair.

The news was announced Monday during Fox’s pre-upfront conference call. It was said, “We are turning the final season into a large TV event — we are trying to go out guns a-blazing,” Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier said on the call.

“One of the great benefits of announcing a final season is to allow the fans to lean in and to have the ending they deserve, and that’s everything we’re trying to do with this iconic series. Six years is a pretty remarkable run for a drama series and we feel good about it.”

Fox has been canceling all their shows recently. Last week they cancel Lee Daniels other hit show Star but the question everybody really wants to know is Jussie Smollet going to be apart of the last season. Collider made a comment on Jussie Smollet during the call.

Collider Said,

“At this point, we have no plans for that,” Collier said. “The writer’s room for next season hasn’t even gathered yet.”

Knowing damn well they want to kill off Jussie character because of scandal in Chicago back in February.
