Diamond-certified, three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning hip-hop icon Future and ten-time GRAMMY®-nominated artist Travis Scott join forces to release the official remix of “South of France” off Future’s chart-dominating Mixtape Pluto. Collaboration by two hip-hop juggernauts, their kinetic energy and creative synergy surely again redefines the genre.

The track marks the first official remix from Mixtape Pluto, Future’s 11th Billboard 200 chart-topping album. First teased by Scott on social media before the album was released, anticipation for the remix has been at an all-time high building off of the duo’s successful collaborations from earlier this year. This spring, Scott turned up on Future’s chart-topping album We Don’t Trust You, a collaborative set with Metro Boomin, on the big singles “Cinderella” and “Type Shit,” alongside Playboi Carti—both of which reached the Billboard Hot 100.

Mixtape Pluto also made history as the first solo artist of any genre to reach a No. 1 on the Billboard 200 within a six-month period-four times, including this one-while Future extended his record for the most simultaneous Hot 100 hits by a solo artist with all 17 songs charting. Alongside this, he became the only hip-hop act to place a full set of songs from an album onto the Hot 100 without any guest vocals.

The album has widely received critical acclaim, with many saying this is Future at his best. Pitchfork hailed Mixtape Pluto “urgent, kinetic, filled with heartbreaking asides and tiny bursts of melodic ingenuity.” Rolling Stone said it was a career-defining effort while GQ said this was one of hip-hop’s greatest streaks and that Future’s impact compared to sports icons Shohei Ohtani, Steph Curry, and Aaron Judge. Billboards went as far as to say Future’s recent run is “one that mere mortals can’t fathom.”

Mixtape Pluto, co-executive produced by Wheezy and produced by 808 Mafia’s Southside, pays homage to Atlanta’s legendary Dungeon Family and the late Rico Wade. The album art, draped in purple infrared lighting from the iconic Dungeon Family house, celebrates Future’s origins and Atlanta roots, symbolizing a pure, unfiltered version of the rapper’s signature style.

In 2024, Future has been dominating the charts and moving his legacy as a cultural force into overdrive, sparking a new era of hip-hop. With Mixtape Pluto and this new “South of France” remix, he is one of the most dominant driving forces in hip-hop, sculpting the sound of its future.

Listen to the remix now, and find the raw energy that Future and Travis Scott unleash onto the track.
