Gina Prince-Bythewood Will Direct ‘WOMAN KING’ Starring Viola Davis

After coming off an epic directorial performance for Netflix hit move The Old Guard.’ It was just announced that Gina Prince-Bythewood has been set to direct ‘THE WOMAN KING’ starring Viola Davis.

The story is inspired by true events that happened in the Kingdom of Dahomey. The film follows Nanisca, general of the all-female military unit, who fought the French and neighboring tribes who violated their honor and enslaved their people.
