During the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation, fans eagerly anticipating the second season of the HBO Original drama series “The Last of Us” were treated to a glimpse of what’s to come. Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, unveiled new images featuring Pedro Pascal as “Joel” and Bella Ramsey as “Ellie,” sparking excitement for the continuation of this gripping post-apocalyptic saga.
Following the unprecedented success of its debut season, which shattered records to become HBO’s most-watched premiere, the highly anticipated second season is set to premiere in 2025 on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max.
The upcoming season boasts a stellar cast, with familiar faces returning to reprise their roles. Pedro Pascal resumes his role as the hardened survivor, Joel, while Bella Ramsey portrays the resilient Ellie. Joining them is Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria, adding depth to the ensemble.
In addition to the returning cast, new characters will be introduced, played by a talented lineup of actors. Kaitlyn Dever steps into the role of Abby, while Isabela Merced portrays Dina. Young Mazino takes on the character of Jesse, with Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, and Danny Ramirez as Manny. Catherine O’Hara also makes a guest appearance, further enriching the narrative tapestry.
