The wildly popular comedy series “New Girl,” which aired for seven seasons and is still gaining huge audiences, is now available to stream on Hulu.

“New Girl” was hailed as a standout comedy series during its initial broadcast run and received numerous Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Zooey Deschanel received numerous nominations for her portrayal of Jess Day from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and she ultimately took home the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.

The young ensemble cast of “New Girl” presents a novel perspective on friendship. Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) needs a new place to live after a bad breakup. She finds a great loft through an online search, along with three single men she has never met before. Nick (Jake Johnson), a former law student who is now a bartender, is the most grounded—and the most cynical—of the group. Young professional hustler Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is quite proud of his own abs. Former athlete Winston (Lamorne Morris), who is extremely competitive, is unsure of what to do next. Cece (Hannah Simone), the best friend Jess has had since childhood, completes the group. The group of five realizes they need each other more than they anticipated and part ways.

Throughout its run, “New Girl” featured many notable guest stars, all eager to explore the bizarre world of Jess and her friends. Megan Fox, Damon Wayans Jr., Justin Long, Josh Gad, Michaela Watkins, Dermot Mulroney, Lizzy Caplan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Rob Reiner, Linda Cardellini, Adam Brody, Brenda Song, and Carla Gugino were among the guest stars on the show. As evidenced by Prince guest-starring as himself and Taylor Swift making an appearance, musicians also wanted to join in on the fun.

Elizabeth Meriwether, with Brett Baer, Dave Finkel, Jake Kasdan, Erin O’Malley, Peter Chernin, and Katherine Pope, served as the series executive producer.

Chernin Entertainment collaborated with 20th Television to produce “New Girl.” Disney Entertainment distributes the show.
