House Republicans Begin Effort To Remove Democrat Ilhan Omar From Committees After Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Was Removed Committee Roles

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced on Wednesday that House Democrats will move to oust GOP lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee assignments in a vote on Thursday over her embrace of the QAnon conspiracy theory and violent political rhetoric.

House Republicans have called for Democratic lawmaker Ilhan Omar’s removal from her committee posts “in light of conduct she has exhibited”

GOP leaders are also meeting on Wednesday to debate Rep. Liz Cheney’s House leadership role after her vote to impeach former president Trump.
