Police are looking for those responsible for stabbing 18-year-old Hussain Chaudhry to death at his home in northeast London.

Chaudhry died protecting his mother and brother from thieves who broke into his home, according to his sister. They were taken to the hospital for their wounds and have been discharged from hospital.

Detective chief inspector Perry Benton, of the Metropolitan Police’s specialist crime command, has asked anyone driving in the area at the time to check dash-cam footage, and for local residents to check doorbell cameras.

Hussain was a first-year law student at Soas University in central London.
