Inde Navarrette told ExtraTV that taking her grandparents to see her new horror movie, Obsession, has turned out to be a rather amusing story for the actress. She was concerned about the impact of terrifying elements on the older generation.
Among the things that happened after the release of the movie and changed Inde’s life a lot, Navarrette worked with Steven Spielberg, but there is also a private experience that she likes to talk about.
“I think getting my grandparents to go to the movie theaters was a cool one,” Navarrette said. “Cause they’re terrified of you.”
For her, the experience was funny, but Navarrette began to feel concern as her grandparents reacted to the frightening scenes.
“I was like, oh my god, I’m gonna kill them, I’m gonna kill them. My grandparents are gonna pass away, and it’s gonna be my fault,” she said.
But suddenly, Navarrette remembered an important point about her grandparents’ hearing.
“And then I realized that they’re partially deaf due to age and the part of the scares, it’s the sound,” said Navarrette. “So thank god I didn’t kill them.”
Apart from scary elements, the actress was pleased that her grandparents took time to visit the cinema despite their age.
“But I, you know, them getting up and having a reason to go see their granddaughter in the theater was really, really nice,” Navarrette said.
Also, Inde told about the amusing incident when her grandmother was proud of her performance in the movie.
“And then just having my grandma be excited and say like, ‘my daughter is Nikki,’ and people being like, ‘okay, but like, she means it,” Navarrette revealed.
Summarizing her successes in the profession after the film’s release, Navarrette said she enjoys remembering such stories.
“So I think moments like that, and there’s others, but those are the ones that I like to focus on,” said the actress.
