Apple TV+ is pleased to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the upcoming eight-part drama series called “The Changeling.”

The series features LaKeith Stanfield, who is both a star and executive producer, known for his roles in “Atlanta,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” and “The Harder They Fall,” as well as co-star Clark Backo, recognized for her performances in “Letterkenny,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and “Station Eleven.”

Adapted from Victor LaValle’s critically acclaimed bestselling novel of the same name, “The Changeling” will premiere globally on Friday, September 8, 2023, on Apple TV+. The initial release will include three episodes, followed by one episode per week until October 13th.

“The Changeling” is a fantasy story for adults. A horror story, a tale of parenthood, and a perilous journey through New York City you never knew existed. In addition to Stanfield and Paco, the series stars Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Lauder, Jared Abrahamson, and special guest star Malcolm Barrett.

Kelly Marcel, known for her work on “Cruella,” “Venom,” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” both wrote and adapted the series. She also served as the showrunner and executive producer. Additionally, Melina Matsoukas, the director of “Queen & Slim” and “Insecure,” directed and executive produced the series.

The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, Patrick Chu, and Ali Krug serve as executive producers for Annapurna. Matsoukas is an executive producer representing her De La Revolution Films, and Khaliah Neal is a co-executive producer.
