Jada Kingdom reveals the official video for “Still Searching,” an absolute highlight from her EP Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World. With this music video, Kingdom pays tribute to Damian Marley’s iconic 2001 video.
Nowadays, Jada Kingdom enjoys her most productive time. Last month, Kingdom released New Religion, an EP consisting of four tracks produced in collaboration with Foggiera. It explores topics such as love, passion, and sexual relationships, but differs greatly from Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World in tone and sound, as Kingdom’s viewpoints evolve.
Moreover, Kingdom continues to impress fans with her outstanding live performances. Recently, Kingdom took part in the Barbados Reggae Weekend Festival, where she was invited onstage by dancehall artist Popcaan. She will be headlining Citi Splash in London on May 25.
Since the release of her EP, Kingdom has gained considerable recognition from critics. Billboard pointed out one of the songs from this album, “Don’t Talk To Me,” saying that Di Genius’s production perfectly highlights Kingdom’s voice, which keeps the “legacy of women in dancehall assuming positions of power and control in their own sex-minded anthems.” NME picked another song for its Best New Track section called “Ntn But Pum Pum.” Wonderland says that Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World continues to set the standard in the genre, serving as a great example of a carefully crafted product and a deep exploration of womanhood.
