Jared James Dicus Arrested and Charged For Beheading His Wife Anggy Diaz

A 21-year-old woman named Angie Daniela Diaz Rivera (Anggy Diaz) got beheaded by her husband, Jared James Dicus, in a rural area of Texas.

According to Waller County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 4:35 p.m., several officers rushed to a home on Oak Hollow Rural Road, south of 1488 Farmers To Market Road, by an alleged report of domestic violence. Authorities had already been to that house several times.

When WSCO deputies arrived at the scene, Jared James Dicus and his parents showed them where Anggy Diaz’s body was inside the couple’s home. The deputies saw Diaz’s body on the floor with her decapitated.

The deputies arrested Jared James Dicus immediately. When they interrogated him, James admitted to beheading Anggy Diaz in a moment of anger.

Anggy Diaz and Jared James Dicus got married in October 2022, and according to neighbors who met the girl, she was joyful and full of hope in her new married life. However, Waller County public records detail that police attended several reports of violence at their home.

Discus got arrested and charged with brutal crimes against his wife but posted bond and will have to appear in court on January 30th.

According to the nonprofit organization National Statistics of Domestic Violence (NCADV), in the United States, there is a wave of aggression, at various levels, against someone by their partner. Every minute, according to NCADV, 20 people are assaulted by their partner in some way, including murder.

In the U.S., one in every four women and one in nine men constantly suffer violent abuse, causing them physical injury, emotions, trauma, anguish for the rest of their lives, and even murder. Women between 18 and 24 years old are the most vulnerable and report the most cases.
