Jennette McCurdy Shreds Nickelodeon In Upcoming Memoir

Jennette McCurdy reveals in her new memoir titled ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’ that her mother forced her into acting because her parents didn’t let her pursue that career.

McCurdy describes what she felt when she got the role of Sam in ‘iCarly’ after being forced into acting by her mother:

“Everything’s going to be better. Mom will finally be happy. Her dream has come true.”

Nickelodeon allegedly offered Jennette McCurdy $300,000 if she agreed to never speak publicly about her experiences at the network, which she refused, her new memoir reveals.

McCurdy also revealed in her new memoir that during her time on Nickelodeon, she was photographed in a bikini at a wardrobe fitting and encouraged to drink alcohol by an intimidating figure, who she calls ‘the Creator.’

“When you’re young, you’re so in your own head. You can’t imagine that people around you are having much harder struggles… You don’t expect things like that from the person in the room who’s making everyone laugh.” -Miranda Cosgrove on her iCarly co-star Jennette McCurdy.

iCarly Star Jennette McCurdy will release the tell-all memoir on August 9th
