“You & Me,” which was first unveiled during her solo set on the first night of the history-making BORN PINK WORLD TOUR, is a special release shared by JENNIE to appease fans who have been waiting for her next solo project.
The single, with its bouncy rhythms and explosive synth lines, transforms JENNIE’s beguiling vocals and super-smooth flow into a fierce yet full-hearted love song.
Meanwhile, on “You & Me (Coachella Version),” JENNIE delivers a dynamic reimagining of the track, complete with an additional rap section and an extended dance break.
“You & Me” serves up more of the larger-than-life star power JENNIE previously displayed on her solo debut single “SOLO” — a 2018 smash that made JENNIE the first female solo artist to top the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart, as well as No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
JENNIE also released an exclusive dance performance video for “You & Me” today.
The video, which debuted on BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel, recreates the spectacular choreography seen on the BORN PINK WORLD TOUR but provides a completely different experience than the live stage.
As a thank you to her fans for their incredible support, JENNIE created an exceptional visual, going above and beyond the typical dance video and selecting an eclectic mix of sets that perfectly capture the song’s dreamy yet intense mood.
JENNIE also incorporated a signature style for the “You & Me” dance performance video, incorporating ballet-inspired attire as well as hairstyles reminiscent of the striking album art.
“You & Me,” which is already a fan favorite live, follows BLACKPINK’s recent single “The Girls,” which was released in August and debuted on THE GAME (the group’s massively popular mobile game).
The upbeat and empowering track, accompanied by an animated video, was released just over a year after BLACKPINK’s record-breaking sophomore album BORN PINK — a 2022 LP that became the first album by a female group to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200 in over a decade (as well as the first album by a K-pop girl group to land at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart).
JENNIE is one of today’s most influential female artists, a singer, rapper, actor, and fashion icon who has made a global impact since making her debut with BLACKPINK in 2016.
