Jennifer Lopez went viral for the opening night of her Las Vegas Caesars Palace residency.
Recently spotted enjoying the South Beach crowd, Jennifer Lopez, who turns 56 next month, launched the night with lively performances of some of her biggest songs, including “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” all of which are featured in the first set of videos below.
The thing that really brought the heat to social media, however, was her commentary on a classic social media issue: the policing of women’s bodies. In response to the chatter regarding her daring look, a smiling Lopez appears in a viral clip to proclaim from the stage: ‘If you had this body, you’d be naked too!’
A fan said, “That’s my Jenny. I’d be walking around buck naked everywhere.” A fan concurred, “And she’s right. She works hard for her body. She can show it if she wants.” Not all fans felt the same way, but Jennifer Lopez’s fans made their stance known: it’s her body, her choice.
“The residency will run through the beginning of 2026, and if the internet can’t handle it then, we know the answer,” the artist explained.
