JoJo will celebrate 20 years since her second studio album, “The High Road,” with a small, seven-city tour later this year, she revealed Monday.
The “High Road Tour: 20 Years Unplugged” begins on November 13 at the Royale in Boston and runs until November 24 at the Park West in Chicago. The mini-tour will include performances of tracks from the album released in 2006 as well as songs from her other projects.
“This album changed the trajectory of my life and career in so many ways,” JoJo said. “I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since The High Road. These songs have grown with me, and I’ve grown with them. I’m so excited to celebrate this milestone with the people who have been there since the beginning and to experience these songs together in a really intimate and special way.”
“The High Road” included several of the most successful songs of JoJo and brought such big hits as “Too Little Too Late.” The album is considered a milestone in her career, and it came out twenty years ago.
JoJo, who rose to fame as a teenager, began working in other areas. In her acting career, she made her Broadway debut as Satine in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical.” As an author, she became a New York Times bestselling author with her memoir “Over the Influence.”
An artist presale begins on Tuesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. local time with a password “TheHighRoad20.” General sale starts Wednesday, September 16 at 10 a.m. local time.
