Kanye West has settled with his former personal assistant in a lawsuit that accused the rapper of sexual harassment, sexual assault and wrongful termination, according to TMZ.
Attorneys for Lauren Pisciotta filed court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday stating that the two sides reached an “unconditional” settlement on July 23, according to TMZ. A request to dismiss the case is expected to be filed within 45 days of that date. Terms of the agreement were not made public.
Representatives for West, who legally changed his name to Ye, did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to TMZ.
The filing appears to bring an end to one of the most closely watched civil cases involving the rapper. Attorneys for both sides told Judge Nicholas F. Daum on June 29 that they had settled in principle following a mediation session held earlier that month, according to Complex, which reviewed the court record. An upcoming hearing was taken off the calendar to give the parties time to finalize the deal, with the case scheduled to return to court in late September if further proceedings were needed.
Pisciotta, who worked as West’s personal assistant from 2021 to 2022, first sued in 2024, alleging sexual harassment, breach of contract and wrongful termination. She said she was promoted to chief of staff of West’s companies at an annual salary of $4 million before she was fired in October 2022, and that she never received a $3 million severance payment she had been offered, according to Complex.
Her complaint alleged that West sent her numerous sexually explicit text messages and videos. One message cited in the filing described in graphic terms a desire for a partner to describe past sexual encounters and to be unfaithful to him. The language in the message is too explicit to reproduce here. Pisciotta also alleged that West touched her inappropriately and performed a sex act in her presence during a hotel stay.
Pisciotta amended the lawsuit in 2025 to add claims of sexual assault, battery and sex trafficking, according to Complex. In the amended 86-page complaint, she alleged that she was invited to a recording studio session in Santa Monica, California, that West hosted along with Sean “Diddy” Combs, and that she was served a drink laced with an unidentified drug before being sexually assaulted, according to Fox News Digital.
Combs was not named as a defendant, and Pisciotta did not accuse him of wrongdoing, according to Rolling Stone. A representative for Combs declined to comment when the amended complaint was filed, according to Fox News Digital.
West denied the allegations throughout the litigation, according to HotNewHipHop. A settlement is not an admission of liability by either party.
Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali of The Bloom Firm, previously told Complex that his client wished to keep any settlement discussions private.
