Kat Graham is now moving into her mom stage, and she’s announced this news like a celeb that realizes she’s the center of attention.
“The Vampire Diaries” alum, 36, announced via brightly colored Instagram posts on Monday, Dec. 1, that she is pregnant with her first child with her husband, Bryant Wood. “We’re having a baby!!! ✨” Graham announced, along with a slideshow of loving shots of her showing off her baby bump with Wood. Wood was quick with a strong comment: “We are ready!”
And, yes, the photos did deliver.
In the post, there are black-and-white Polaroid photos of Graham with her baby bump as Wood hugs her. In other photos, Graham is lifting her sweater to display that she isn’t wearing any underwear as Wood crouches alongside her, touching her belly. It was so soft.
From Best Friends to Parents
This news is coming not so long after Graham’s second wedding with Wood, as the two celebrated their wedding ceremony after secretly marrying in Los Angeles in October of last year. They were best friends for a number of years before going ahead with romance, with their slow-burning love now blossoming into a family.
Graham shared photos from this occasion on November 9, sporting a dramatic, fashion-forward look as she modeled a Jean Paul Gaultier gown and headpiece. “The house of @jeanpaulgaultier. Forever and ever. Amen,” she captioned the photos.
In contrast, the latter pictures displayed more joy, such as the couple riding a mechanical bull, laughing during the ceremony, as well as dancing with their loved ones as they celebrated their wedding, as opposed to merely posing for them.
The Vampire Diaries Family Reacts
Comments on Graham’s pregnancy announcement turned into a Vampire Diaries reunion, as castmates with whom she was close sent their love.
Candice King wrote: “Ahhhh congratulations!!!!!!”
“What a lucky soul to have you as her mommy,” added Nathalie Kelley.
Nikki Reed, who is married to Ian Somerhalder, left this heartfelt comment that seemed to indicate this was not news to those close to them. “Ahhhhhhh!!!! Congratulations!! Now I’m thinking about all of our special conversations from this summer and my heart is”
Natalie Kuckenburg, the fiancée of Paul Wesley, kept her remark brief with, “Congrats ❤️.” Graham responded with thanks, “Thank you guys for all the love,” clearly enjoying this moment.
