Keeta Vaccaro, the estranged wife of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, has filed new court documents seeking full custody of their five-month-old daughter. The filing comes after a troubling incident on May 1, during which Vaccaro alleges Hill used their child as an emotional weapon to intimidate her during a custodial exchange.
The allegations arrive less than a month after Vaccaro filed for divorce on April 7, citing that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” In her latest legal filing, Vaccaro accuses Hill of erratic behavior, emotionally manipulative tactics, and a disregard for the well-being of their child.
Hill Allegedly Took Infant Without Consent and Threatened to Leave the State
According to court documents obtained by InTouch, Hill arrived at Vaccaro’s residence on May 1, stating that he was there to retrieve personal belongings. While on the premises, he allegedly took their five-month-old daughter and gave conflicting accounts about where he intended to take her.
Vaccaro claims that Hill repeatedly changed his story regarding his destination and plans for the child. As he walked toward the elevator with the infant, Hill allegedly turned to Vaccaro and said that he was going to “really piss her off” by flying with their daughter to Los Angeles for the weekend. Vaccaro contends that this statement was not made out of concern for the child but as an intentional and calculated effort to emotionally destabilize her amid divorce proceedings.
Hill’s Sudden Reversal and Alleged Erratic Conduct Raise Concerns About Child Safety
Shortly after leaving with the infant, Hill allegedly sent Vaccaro a text message stating that he had reconsidered and was bringing the baby back home. Vaccaro points to this sudden change as evidence of impulsive behavior, claiming Hill’s actions demonstrate instability and a lack of awareness regarding childcare responsibilities.
In her filing, Vaccaro characterizes Hill’s behavior as “impulsive” and “erratic,” further stating that he is unfamiliar with their daughter’s sleep patterns, dietary needs, and day-to-day schedule. She argues that his inability to understand or meet the infant’s basic care requirements supports her request for primary custody.
Vaccaro Accuses Hill of Emotional Coercion and Using Child to Exert Control
Vaccaro alleges that Hill’s behavior was not rooted in fatherly concern but rather in a desire to scare her and coerce her into surrendering legal and financial rights. She claims that his decision to take the child and threaten to leave the state was intended to discourage her from asserting her rights in the divorce, particularly those related to custody and child support.
“His behavior was not motivated by love or parental concern,” Vaccaro states in the court filing. “It was a calculated move to intimidate, retaliate, and disrupt the stability of our daughter’s environment to maintain control over me during this difficult time.”
Custody Filing Requests Sole Legal and Physical Custody with Supervised Visitation
Vaccaro is requesting full physical and legal custody of their daughter as part of her legal petition. She has also asked the court to prohibit Hill from taking the child outside the state of Florida without her explicit written consent.
In addition, Vaccaro is seeking an order for supervised visitation, asserting that Hill should not have unsupervised access to the child until he demonstrates consistent, stable, and respectful behavior. She states that supervised visitation is necessary “until he learns to respect boundaries and to place the baby’s needs over his impulses and desires.”
Hill’s Legal Team Denies All Allegations in Public Statement
In response to the court filing, Tyreek Hill’s attorney issued a statement categorically denying Vaccaro’s claims.
“Mr. Hill denies the allegations in the recently filed pleadings; they are false and disparaging,” the attorney stated. Hill or his legal team provided no additional details or clarifications at the time of publication.
Divorce Filing and Legal Proceedings Continue Amid Public Scrutiny
The custody battle is unfolding against the couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings. Vaccaro filed for divorce on April 7, citing irreconcilable differences and claiming the marriage was beyond repair.
The latest court filings deepen the legal complexity of the case, raising significant questions regarding parental fitness, child welfare, and the use of custodial leverage during contentious divorces. As the legal process continues, the court will be tasked with evaluating the best interests of the child while navigating serious accusations of emotional abuse and coercive conduct.
Given the high-profile nature of the parties involved, the case is expected to receive ongoing attention from the public and the media in the coming weeks and months.
