Kesha’s years-long legal battle with producer Dr. Luke has finally come to an end, marking a watershed moment in the artist’s career. According to People Magazine, Kesha’s intriguing teaser for new music has sparked excitement among her fans.
The singer was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a unique outfit that included a plain white shirt, a cowboy hat, orange sunglasses, black pants, and white sneakers. What drew my attention, however, was the cardboard sign she was holding that read, “NEW MUSIC COMING SOON.”
Despite this tantalizing hint, Kesha has remained mum on further details or a possible release date for her upcoming project. Fans are eagerly awaiting more insights into this exciting stage of Kesha’s artistic journey.
Variety reported that Kesha’s contract with Dr. Luke’s label, Kemosabe, had been terminated. The official end of their collaboration comes seven months after Kesha’s contractual album under the label, “Gag Order,” was released.
Kesha’s spokesperson, Jack Rovner, confirmed the amicable separation between Kesha and Vector Management after 16 years in a statement to Variety. Kesha expressed gratitude for her manager’s assistance, emphasizing the importance of a fresh start in her life.
Kesha and Dr. Luke have been at odds since 2014 when the singer accused the producer of drugging and raping her in 2005. Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, vehemently denied the allegations and countersued Kesha for defamation, claiming that her motivation was to escape his record label.
This protracted legal dispute was settled last year, with both parties mutually agreeing to end this chapter of their lives. Kesha’s ability to release five full-length albums during her time with the label demonstrates her tenacity and dedication to her craft.
As Kesha embarks on a new musical chapter, her fans anticipate the artist’s freedom and the promise of fresh, unrestrained expression.
