Before Donald Trump left the Oval Office earlier this week. He executed a lot of people by resuming federal executions in July last year after a 17-year pause. Trump also pardon many people such as well known names like Kodak Black and Lil Wayne.
Among those people he pardon was 32-yr-old Chris Young, a drug offender initially sentenced to life in prison, whose case was championed by Kim Kardashian West.
The judge, Kevin Sharp, who sentenced Young to a life sentence was so appalled by the injustice of a system that would do this to a promising young life that he quit the bench. And then paired with Kim Kardashian and Brittany Barnett to try and secure Young’s release from prison.
Even the judge expressed regret: “What I was required to do that day was cruel and did not make us safer.”
The authorities incarcerated Young because of the now-infamous “three strikes” legislation after he was caught with marijuana and cocaine.
